We are in search of a Recreation Summer Student (Horticulture Specialist) for our Chatham, Ontario location - Copper Terrace. Position Overview: Summer student responsibilities include planning, facilitating, and evaluating/documenting large group programs, small group programs, and one-on-one activities with a robust focus on horticulture and outdoor wellness initiatives. The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of resident gardens and lead engaging horticulture-based recreational programs that promote the domains of wellness, including physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Programs and activities may include gardening clubs, planting and seasonal garden projects, outdoor walks, nature-based activities, flower arranging, sensory gardening, alongside traditional recreation programs such as trivia, exercises, bingo, music, and book clubs.
