Line Cook and Prep Cook (Chatham)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our agile kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. Duties - Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards - Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency - Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients - Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines - Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts - Support the team during busy service periods by managing multiple orders simultaneously - Follow food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper storage of ingredients - Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed Qualifications - Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or food industry preferred but not required - Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling best practices - Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure - Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration - Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed - Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous This position offers an prospect to develop culinary skills within a professional environment dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.
