Warehouse Associate (Grande Pointe)

Southern Comfort Mechanical is a growing business, and we are currently looking to add a warehouse associate to work at our main location in Grande Pointe, MB. SCMI provides many long-term employment opportunities with very low turnover. The successful applicants will be exposed to a wide variety of work both indoors and outdoors. This is an hourly position with a wage range of $17-$19/hr, dependent on experience. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: - Ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing material and placing in the appropriate inventory locations. - Delivering material to job sites and picking up materials from SCMi vendors as needed. - Loading and unloading shipments regularly. - Repetitive manual lifting and handling of heavy objects. - Operating a forklift, skid steer, and other equipment when needed. - Unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse or yard, and keeping both neat and orderly to maximize material and movement efficiency. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Must have current Manitoba Driver’s License. - Must be available Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. - Must be willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors year round. - Knowledge of, and experience driving in, Winnipeg. - Experience loading/unloading, securing, and driving with a trailer. - Must be able to manually lift heavy objects such as furnaces, air conditioning units, etc. - Experience operating a forklift and skid steer operation is a strong asset.
