Position: Aqua Fitness Instructor, Group Fitness Location: Chatham-Kent YMCA, 101 Courthouse Lane, Chatham, ON N7L 0B5

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: $17.20 - $25.00 per hour

Qualifications&Experience

Relevant Group Exercise certification (YMCA Group Fitness streams, MOSSA, Aquatic Fitness, Yoga, or additional certifications)

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is a condition of employment

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (or acceptable exemption)

YCMA personal membership at YMCA health and fitness branches

Discount on childcare and camp programs

Vacations entitled in accordance with employment standards regulations

Up to 12 paid personal days and other benefits applicable to position and contract length

Schedule

Casual/coverage position with varying hours– expectation of one shift per week or 4 hours per month

Shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

Follow YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures

Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating core values in daily work

Provide high-quality group exercise instruction

Generate positive experiences for each participant through excellent customer service and relations

Maintain a safe environment that fosters a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere

Arrive ten minutes prior to class and ensure all necessary equipment is set up before class

Educate and motivate class participants

Role-model movements safely and effectively
