Surface Prep Technician at Select Finishing, Kent (Blenheim)

Elevate your skills with Select Finishing as a Surface Prep Technician. Focus on sanding and preparing raw carbon fiber parts in a collaborative environment from 6:30 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday.

This role is essential in the production department, where you'll be responsible for sanding, masking, and inspecting parts. Attention to detail is vital as you use various tools and body fillers to maintain part quality and standards. Work conditions may include exposure to paint, solvents, and machinery noise, but proper PPE is provided for safety.

Key Responsibilities:• Sand raw carbon fiber parts accurately • Mask parts ensuring coverage standards • Inspect and repair defects in parts • Mix body filler with correct ratios • Conduct thorough pre- and post-sanding inspections

Requirements:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Basic understanding of manufacturing procedures • Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects • Must comply with PPE and safety protocols • Capability to stand for extended periods
