Day in the Life

As a Milling Machine Operator, you will operate and control the Milling Machine to maintain the desired depth and slope. You will measure milled areas, track quantities, and complete reports. Key duties include performing machine maintenance such as tooth changing, monitoring the auto greaser, and assisting with clean‑up to maximize efficiency. You will evaluate upcoming pathways for obstacles and address any interruptions in progress.Responsibilities

Operate equipment in an effective and safe manner. Perform daily service and preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain related documentation. Work with General Contractors to complete jobs efficiently. Perform some physical labour in outdoor settings. Assist other crew members with their duties as required.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Prior experience working in road construction considered an asset. AZ License preferred, not required. Skid Steer experience preferred. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence is required. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to travel for extended periods of time and work on weekends if required.Mechanical inclination considered an asset. Knowledge of road grades considered an asset. MUST be a current member of LiUNA 625 or willing to join. Compensation Data
