Plant Manager (Blenheim)

Reporting to the Director of Global Die Manufacturing – CPM, the Plant Manager is accountable for safe, effective and cost‑effective operations, ensuring achievement of company objectives and consistent customer product quality and on‑time delivery. The role requires leadership, direction, decision‑making and stability for all plant employees, including maintenance, production, process, warehousing & shipping, quality control, inventory control, and close collaboration with engineering and order processing teams in CPM Americas locations. This position is responsible for planning and directing all manufacturing activities for the manufacture of pellet mill dies at the Dorssers facility in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada, and includes supervision and coordination of activities and personnel. In a small facility, broad involvement and a bias for action on the floor are critical. RESPONSIBILITIES Work collaboratively and ensure plant operations comply with all regulatory requirements; maintain a vigorous Safety Program. Develop plant objectives, priorities and operating plan targets, including key metrics, and communicate these goals to staff to drive performance. Continuously improve plant operations and facility, covering EHS, quality, productivity and profitability, and coordinate changes with key stakeholders. Promote a company culture of integrity, teamwork, customer focus, learning, innovation, accountability, respect, inclusiveness and perseverance. Implement effective communication plans with sales management, companion plants and engineering to keep employees informed and engaged. Participate in recruiting and onboarding to build culture, reduce turnover, and represent CPM to the community, fostering local workforce relationships. Assist in capital planning and develop a traditional manufacturing organization structure to support 25% capacity growth. Oversee Production Engineering & Maintenance Process Control, Quality Control, Purchasing & Inventory Control, and Labor Relations. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 7 years of planning and plant production management experience in a related industry in a job shop environment. Significant experience with metal machining and understanding of materials flow and purchasing/supply chain in a manufacturing facility. Experience using MRP/ERP systems is critical; implementation experience is helpful. Technical experience and completion of relevant manufacturing management training programs are helpful. Strong background in Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Corrective Action, Problem Solving and Waste Elimination/Process Improvement. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field. Strong bias for action and willingness to wear many hats.
