Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards - Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces - Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment - Monitor food inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients - Collaborate with team members to ensure effective kitchen operations during service hours - Adhere to portion control and waste management procedures to optimize kitchen efficiency Skills - Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting - Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques and serving protocols - Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and menu items - Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued Pay: $18.85-$27.91 per hour Benefits - Flexible schedule Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o35ew
