Kitchen Helper and Dishwasher (Agassiz)

Horn of Plenty Cafe is looking for part-time kitchen staff to join our team. We are currently hiring for two positions: Kitchen Helper and Main Kitchen Cook. We are looking for reliable, hardworking team members who can work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Both positions are part-time, with 2–3 shifts per week. Working days are available from Monday to Sunday, and the schedule can be flexible depending on availability. Positions Available Kitchen Helper Minimum wage + tips Shift: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Part-time, 2–3 days per week Main Kitchen Cook $21.00/hour + tips Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Part time, 2–3 days per week Responsibilities - Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen tasks - Prepare and cook menu items according to cafe standards - Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment - Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment - Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures - Help restock supplies and organize ingredients as needed - Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff during service - Support the team during busy periods Requirements - Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred - Cooking experience is required or strongly preferred for the Main Kitchen Cook position - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety - Reliable, punctual, and hardworking - Positive attitude and good teamwork skills - Availability to work 2–3 days per week - Weekend availability is an asset Job Type Part-time Pay Kitchen Helper: Minimum wage + tips Main Kitchen Cook: $21.00 per hour + tips Schedule Day shift 2–3 days per week Monday to Sunday availability Flexible schedule depending on availability Please send your resume or message us with your availability and the position you are applying for.
