Experienced Warehouse/Material Handling (Chilliwack)

Delta Water Products is a premier supplier in the province for “everything water”, including Agriculture, Civil Water, Wastewater, and we are one of Canada's largest distributers of pumps and motors. Along with water products, our Chilliwack location also supports our HD Conduit division, supplying reels of conduit and telecommunication boxes to the construction industry. Position Warehouse/Shipper/Receiver and Yard Material Handling At Delta Chilliwack we are looking to add a full time employee to our team in the warehouse/yard. This person will be working as a shipper/receiver and order filler to serve our growing business. Shared yard functions are also part of this team position and experience operating forklifts and material handling is required. Location Chilliwack BC. Responsibilities This person will work in our warehouse and yard while also providing ongoing support to inside sales staff. Duties and responsibilities related to this position are as follows: - Forklift loading and unloading of transport trucks and flat decks. - Pick orders, prepare, and stage merchandise for customer pick up. - Picking pump and motor orders, wastewater septic orders, bundling pipe, and loading onto heavy trucks. - Picking telecommunication box orders, updating identification tags, and staging for customer pickup. - Assisting other team members with Agriculture product orders. - Liaise with shipping companies to ensure the timely delivery of products. - Detailed inventory counts, cycle counts, and restocking of warehouse shelves. - Assist in the opening/closing of yard gates and premises. - Assist with call volumes when required. - Maintain a clean and tidy yard that is free of debris and packaging materials. - Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse and yard area. Skills The successful candidate must be a motivated, fit individual who can work in a physical labor environment for several hours a day. Working as part of a small team, they must be reliable, professional, safety conscious, and have keen attention to detail for accuracy in picking customer orders. Forklift certification, material handling experience, and previous experience of 2-3 years in shipping/receiving is required. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors throughout all seasons and temperatures. Physically fit and able to safely lift 80lbs.
