Landscaping Maintenance Technician (Chilliwack)

Job Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments through various landscaping maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills and the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic setting, contributing to the beauty and functionality of residential or commercial landscapes. Duties - Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting - Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping tasks - Conduct general gardening activities including soil preparation, fertilization, and weed control - Operate power trimmers, lawn mowers, weed whackers and other power tools in a safe manner - Maintain equipment through routine mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting - Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to maintain a secure work environment Requirements - Prior experience or knowledge in horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance a necessity. - Good time management is critical for this role - Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as push mowers and ride-on mowers - Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy materials and standing/walking for extended periods - Valid driver’s license is necessary for site travel purposes - A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail and safety standards - Experience with construction-related tasks is a plus - Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is a plus Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: - Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ny4t7
