Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment Monitor food inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients Collaborate with team members to ensure effective kitchen operations during service hours Adhere to portion control and waste management procedures to optimize kitchen efficiency Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques and serving protocols Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and menu items Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued Pay: $18.85-$27.91 per hour Perks Flexible schedule Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ok8aw
