Community-Focused Intermediate Teacher, Harrison Lake Region (Agassiz)

Deliver impactful education as a Community-Focused Intermediate Teacher. Collaborate with students, families, and community members to create a comprehensive learning experience.

In this role, you will provide culturally relevant instruction at the community school, ensuring students receive personalized attention and support. Under the School Principal's guidance, you will implement educational practices that honor Indigenous values while actively engaging in community outreach. Participation in meetings and professional development is critical for continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop and deliver culturally relevant lesson plans • Assess and manage student progress and needs • Foster relationships with students and their families • Engage in community relations activities • Attend training and education meetings as required

Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Education with teaching certification • Strong background in classroom management • Experience working within Indigenous communities • Skills for addressing diverse learning styles • Basic knowledge of outdoor education principles is an asset
