Position : Fruit farm worker No. of vacancies : 4 Salary : $17.40 hourly / 40 to 60 hours per week Employment type : Seasonal employment, Full time Location : 48844 Camp River Road, Chilliwack, BC V4Z 0B5 - The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables. - The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops. - The candidate will be responsible for sorting fruits and vegetables. - The candidate will be responsible for weeding. - The candidate must harvest crops. - The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry. - The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. - The candidate must perform general farm duties. - The candidate will be responsible for grading products. - The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment. - The candidate will be responsible for ensuring farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed. Job Requirements - The candidate should be fluent in English language. - There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma. - Candidate having experience is an asset. - The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Work setting - The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees. Experience and specialization Type of crops - The crops are blueberries. Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities - The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis. - The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
