QC Welding Inspector (Chilliwack)

TYCROP is looking for a Welding QC Inspector to join our team in Chilliwack-Rosedale location. Responsibilities: - Inspect welding and fabrication work according to approved drawings, WPS, codes, and client requirements. - Conduct visual inspection of weld joints before, during and after welding. - Monitor fit-up, alignment, joint preparation, and material traceability - Review and maintain welding records, inspection reports, and QC documentation - Coordinate Non-destructive testing (NDT) activities such as: RT (Radiographic Testing); UT (Ultrasonic Testing); MT (Magnetic Testing); PT (Penetrant Testing) - Ensure compliance with standards such as: ASME; AWS; ISO; CSA - Identify welding defects and recommend corrective actions - Witness hydrotests, pressure tests, and PWHT activities when required - Perform other duties as required Qualifications: - Diploma or Degree in Welding Inspection, Welding Technology, or related field - Certified Level 1 Welding Inspector preferred - Knowledge of welding processes: SMAW; GTAW/TIG; GMAW/MIG; FCAW; SAW - 5+ years of experience in welding inspection/QC - Familiarity with welding codes and standards - Ability to read isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings At TYCROP, we value our people – and it shows.
