Auction Operations Crew Member- Part-Time (Chilliwack)

Description This role supports the successful execution of auctions and daily site operations. Crew Members work across a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to equipment handling, customer service, driving, site upkeep, and auction-day support. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and customer experience while performing duties that ensure our auctions run smoothly and professionally. Responsibilities - Support auction yard operations by checking in, staging, tagging, and releasing equipment. - Safely operate light and heavy equipment, following company standards and certifications. - Assist customers on-site and provide sale-day support such as shuttle driving, cart driving, or customer service. - Maintain site cleanliness, perform janitorial and groundskeeping tasks, and operate support vehicles like water trucks. - Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times while reporting hazards promptly. - Work collaboratively with yard management, operations staff, and the inspection team to deliver seamless auction events. - Contribute ideas for continuous improvement while upholding company values and delivering excellent customer experiences. Qualifications - Valid driver’s license (class requirements may vary by location/role). - Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and following procedures. - Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate light/heavy equipment (training provided). - Customer service skills with a qualified, approachable demeanor. - Willingness to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during auction periods. - Previous experience in yard operations, equipment handling, or auction environments. - Knowledge of farming, construction, or industrial equipment. - Certification in First Aid, Loader Operation, or other relevant safety training. - Experience in customer-facing roles (hospitality, retail, service industry).
