We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. We are a team-oriented business and Kitchen staff get a share in the tip pool. Farmhouse has the highest tip pool rate in our area & industry. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal assembly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to delivering a positive dining experience for our guests. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry and develop culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant setting Responsibilities - Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for daily operations - Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items according to recipes - Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients and helping with meal assembly as needed - Maintain a clean and organized work station in compliance with food safety standards - Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination - Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies that need replenishing - Adhere to all safety protocols within the kitchen environment to promote a secure working space for all staff Qualifications - Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential - Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures - Basic cooking skills and familiarity with restaurant or food service environments are advantageous - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail - Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities - Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed - Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
