Job Overview The Payroll Administrator ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing across the MDT Group, including Canadian, US, and Irish operations, while providing critical support to the Finance team. Key Responsibilities - Drive payroll processing for Canadian, US, and Irish employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Own payroll compliance for Canadian, US and Irish Operations, including, but not limited to, EHT, WBC, Unemployment and equivalent international remittances and filings. - Own contractor pay process - Build processes with key stakeholders to allow for timely, accurate and compliant payroll at all times. - Process vacation pay, leaves, special payments, ROEs (and international equivalent) and year end forms (T4s, W-2s, P35 returns), for all locations. - Partner with employees to respond to payroll inquiries and stay current on payroll legislation across all jurisdictions. - Maintain payroll system accuracy and coordinate with payroll platforms to ensure proper tax remittances - Administer retirement fund funding, and supporting documentation, including RRSP, 401k and any additional international funds - Support the global extended benefits process - Define SOPs for your roll to ensure ongoing clarity and alignment - Lead apprenticeship & Skilled Trades BC Coordination - Maintain full cycle bookkeeping across various Holding Companies - Support MDT accounting functions - Other administrative tasks as required Qualifications - At least 2 years payroll experience - Ability to drive between our three local locations (Longest driving distance about 10 minutes away) Considered an Asset - Experience with global payroll - Payroll Administration certificate or similar education Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour Perks: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: - Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): - Do you have a payroll administration certificate or similar education?
