Position Summary
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead a new Electrical Contractor division for our client in Eastern Ontario. Our client is a General Contractor and Construction Management services company with a diverse portfolio and specializes in the commercial, industrial and civil sectors. They own and operate an electrical contracting business that supports a growing number of partnerships in the insurance restoration, serving insurance companies and claims adjusters. This role is a key member of the leadership team.
Roles and responsibilities
- The operations manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, including safety, quality, forecasting, scheduling, estimating, project management and profitability while cultivating a high-performance culture.
- Strengthen a High-Performance, Values-Driven Culture, fostering a culture of alignment, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Develop & Empower Top Talent Build a bench of high-performing "A Players" through intentional coaching, succession planning, and individualized development plans that elevate capability across both field and office teams.
- Ensure Safe, High-Quality Project Execution and quality standards, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical and operational expectations.
- Advance Strategic Growth & Client Relationships Position for long-term success by cultivating strong client partnerships, supporting backlog expansion, and contributing to enterprise-wide strategy and scalability.
- Optimize division performance and outcomes through assessing and assigning project team members based on experience, capability, and project requirements.
- Coordinates efforts with internal stakeholders to drive backlog growth, advance strategic initiatives, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with all external parties, including trade partners, clients, and engineers.
Qualifications
- You must have at least 12 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Must have Estimating and project management experience to oversee the projects as they grow the business
- Must be Bilingual – Fluency in both English & French is required
- Must be willing to relocate to Hawkesbury, ON
- Experience and a focus on electrical construction management for both residential and commercial projects.
- Proven experience in electrical construction management and understanding of electrical design, codes, and construction equipment.
- A combination of experience in both electrical estimating and electrical project management
- Participates in developing overall objectives and long-term planning; provides leadership and direction to maximize goals.
- Professional certifications (PQS, MRICS, CIQS, and CEC) are considered an asset.
Salary & Benefits
- ~$120,000 - $150,000 annual base salary – based on experience, bonus structure
