Landscape Supervisor (Port Hope)

Job Summary We are looking for a Landscape Supervisor!! WL Restorations/Giant Pine is a professional restoration company dedicated to delivering high-quality outdoor spaces and exceptional customer service post-remediation. We specialize in landscape construction, property maintenance, and restoration services for our clients of the PHAI (Port Hope Area Initiative). We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead crews, oversee daily operations, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities · Work closely with the Field Superintendent and client supervisors to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. · Provide in-field leadership and oversight of 2–4 crews, ensuring safety, productivity, and adherence to project goals. · Motivate, mentor, and support field crews, including conducting one-on-one conversations with team members to encourage growth and engagement. · Proactively manage onsite resources, materials, and schedules for landscape and hardscape restoration projects, including small structures. · Uphold high-quality workmanship and industry best practices in all project aspects. · Review and verify that crews are working in alignment with the latest project drawings and specifications. · Utilize construction management software to document daily site activities, including site photos and progress reports. · Collaborate with the Field Superintendent to monitor work progress, address scope changes, and maintain accurate records. · Work closely with the Project Coordinator to track material and equipment utilization for efficiency and cost control. · Ensure crews have the necessary information, including locates and key site details, to perform their tasks effectively. Experience/Qualifications · High School Diploma or GED required. · Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Landscape Architecture, or a related field is an asset. · Professional certifications such as CEP, GSC, or a diploma/certificate in construction estimating are considered advantageous. · Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating, construction, or landscape supervision preferred. · Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings. · Knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC) is an asset. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software. · Experience in supervising construction and landscape projects.
