Job Title: Corporate Communications Student Assistant

What You’ll Do

Social Media: Craft compelling content for social media and the official website to promote county initiatives and projects.

Visitor Services: Assist with providing in-person, digital and online support to local businesses and residents seeking information on economic development, tourism, and more.

Customer Service: Ramp up resident engagement through working with the general public and assisting internal departments with bringing their creative ideas to life.

Administration: Help execute the Corporate Communications strategy through report writing, developing communication concepts, sourcing materials, assisting with event planning, and more. Help execute the Tourism Playbook through webpage updates, social media, visitor services, etc.

Qualifications

Current post‑secondary student attending in fall 2026 or graduate in 2026.

Valid Ontario G2 (or higher) driver’s license, clean driving abstract, and comfortable operating a county‑owned vehicle.

Creativity: Versatile and able to design graphics for presentations, reports, and social media.

Organization: Ability to juggle multiple tasks with strong prioritization and communication skills.

Problem Solving: Thinks outside the box and considers all details before making a decision.

Learning: Loves collaborative feedback and thrives in a knowledge‑sharing environment.
