Senior Planner in Development Services, Cobourg

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Development Services and provide essential technical advice to various stakeholders, including council and the business community. Your background in municipal planning, supported by at least four years of experience, prepares you to lead efforts in growth management and economic development. This position also involves assisting the public with planning applications and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities:• Provide technical information on land use planning • Review and advise on building permit applications • Conduct research and drafting of planning reports • Manage approvals for subdivision and site plans • Support the Development Services Department with administrative tasks

Requirements:• An accredited University Degree in Planning • At least four years of experience in municipal planning • Active OPPI membership or eligibility • Knowledge of relevant planning legislation • Class “G” driver’s license and access to a vehicle
