With rapid growth with commercial and military customers, AVSS is looking for an R&D Technician with a primary focus on assisting the team with product and field testing products. The company is looking for an individual who has more than 3 years of relevant experience in a hands on technical role. Have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to apply that knowledge in assembling, testing, and integrating those components properly. Examine, inspect, adjust, and align electrical and mechanical components to rigid specifications, and assemble and link numerous subsystems, requiring a knowledge of how those assemblies interact, and the ability to perform numerous precise procedures.Follow standard procedures in performing assembly tasks such as visual inspection, physical inspection, testing and quality control documentation. Ability to quickly learn complex procedures, improve on processes and provide feedback/assist in the development of procedures for the assembly of new products.Document all internal support interactions in a clear and concise manner for future reference. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products by assisting with and performing ongoing flight testing. Coordinate with the engineering team to provide feedback and improve products. Assist customers in understanding regulatory requirements and compliance of our certified systems.Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communications skills (English). Proven experience in IT support or technical support roles. Fluent understanding of using web-based software. Strong understanding of desktop support principles, including troubleshooting techniques for both Windows environments. Experience with computer hardware diagnostics and repairs.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Job Type
