Location and hours

Loblaws: 20 Jocelyn Road, Port Hope, ON L1A 3V5 | Sunday to Saturday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities Food Service Team Members play a key role in preparing high-quality sushi while ensuring food safety standards, tracking production, managing inventory, and collaborating with store employees in a fast-paced environment. Full training is provided; prior sushi experience is not required.

Prepare sushi and other menu items according to company recipes and quality standards.

Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain accurate logs.

Track daily production and assist in kitchen operations.

Receive, check, and organize inventory, and assist with ordering.

Work closely with store staff and management to ensure smooth sushi bar operations.

Use Bento operations tools to update production, inventory, and other data.

Maintain Bento customer experience standards.

Qualifications

Food service experience required; sushi experience is an asset.

Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Comfortable using basic technology for communication and training.

Ability to lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs).

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Food Handler Certification is an asset.
