Manager, Inspection and Maintenance (Field Execution) Location: Port Hope, ON, CA, L1A 3V7 Status: Regular Full-time Working Conditions: On-Site Education Level: College or University degree in Business Administration or related technical discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) Base Location: Port Hope, ON Shift: Days Deadline to Apply: June 11, 2026 Salary Range: $111,000.00 - $161,000.00 Per Year JOB OVERVIEW Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Remote Inspections & Maintenance. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Remote Conventional Inspections, this position is responsible for the management, planning and oversight of Remote Inspections & Maintenance Campaigns for Nuclear sites within the Durham Region and Renewable Generation sites across Ontario. This role will oversee Inspection & Maintenance teams in Dive Operations, Rope Access & NDE Inspections, Arial Inspections (Drone Operations) and Remote Inspections Engineering. A key focus of this position is moving from reactive “break‑fix” work toward a structured maintenance strategy and campaign‑based execution, ensuring all planning, readiness, and resourcing are complete before field teams mobilize. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Provide leadership and oversight to field execution teams, including Divers, Rope Access, NDE Inspection personnel, Drone Operations, and Remote Inspections Engineering. - Establish clear, effective working relationships and ensure seamless integration of outputs across teams. - Communicate organizational goals and direction that guide work programs and functional delivery. - Lead, coach, and develop a supportive, high-performance team culture that promotes accountability and self‑management. - Provide meaningful input to the business plan and the development of departmental work programs, priorities, and deliverables. - Lead remote inspections and maintenance campaigns end-to-end, including planning, readiness reviews, execution oversight, and close‑out. - Build and implement a maintenance strategy that improves reliability, readiness, and long‑range planning. - Ensure scope, documentation, work methods, risk controls, and resources are complete and ready prior to field mobilization. - Support First Line Managers with field execution planning and coordination, including scheduling, logistics, work sequencing, and constraint management for both planned and emergent work. - Manage and balance resources across multiple concurrent campaigns and clients, including seasonal/peak planning requirements. - Ensure strong field governance and compliance, including safe work planning, permits, and execution standards across specialized operations. - Ensure regulatory and site compliance across Nuclear and Renewable Generation environments. - Oversee maintenance fundamentals and work control discipline, ensuring readiness elements—such as pre‑job briefs, lift planning, and hazard controls—are completed to the required standard. - Drive continuous improvement by strengthening planning and execution processes and adapting to organizational changes. - Identify resource requirements, optimize performance, and ensure activities are delivered within budget and at minimum practical cost. - Ensure management systems meet due diligence requirements and are effectively maintained and governed on an ongoing basis. - Maintain OPG and nuclear governing documents (policies, standards, procedures) in compliance with regulatory requirements. QUALIFICATIONS - Education: College or University degree in Business Administration or related technical discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). - Leadership experience (minimum): 3+ years of direct people leadership experience (supervision/management), including: - performance management and coaching - work assignment and prioritization - accountability for safety, quality, and deliverables - Field operations experience (minimum): 7+ years experience in maintenance and/or inspection field operations within industrial/regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, utilities, mining, construction, marine, manufacturing). - Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary field teams (e.g., inspection/NDE, access methods, engineering support). - Planning & execution (minimum): Proven experience planning and delivering projects end-to-end, including: - scope definition and work packaging - readiness reviews / gates - scheduling, logistics, work sequencing, and constraint management - execution oversight and close‑out (including lessons learned) - Governance, safety, and compliance (minimum): Strong working knowledge of work management/work control discipline (permits, hazard controls, pre-job briefs, lift planning, field execution standards). - Demonstrated safety leadership in field settings; ability to operate within strict compliance expectations. - Core skills (minimum): Robust stakeholder management and communication skills (able to align teams and present clear readiness, risks, and “asks” to senior leaders). - Solid planning/organization skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliver within budget/resource constraints. - The successful candidate will exhibit uncompromising integrity and commitment to upholding corporate values, and the OPG Code of Business Conduct.
