We are looking to hire Senior UX/Product Designer in Montreal,QC, Toronto, ON or Mississauga, ON any one location (Hybrid)- 2 days a week immediately who has experience in Design system operations, Product Designer. Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with a strong focus on design systems. - Maintain the Figma component library within the structure and standards set by the Design System Operations Lead, with attention to consistency, versioning, and ongoing quality - Oversee and implement design tokens within the established naming conventions and structural standards - Develop, organize, and maintain design tokens, reusable components, and scalable UI libraries. - Maintain and evolve design documentation on models, standards, usage and best practices so the system stays understandable and usable for designers and developers alike - Build and refine pattern architecture and framework structures to support scalable product design. - Triage and review incoming design requests and contribution candidates while partnering closely with engineering and development teams to align design system implementation with technical feasibility - Ensure consistency and scalability of design patterns across multiple digital products and user flows. - Ensure all system components meet WCAG standards and that accessibility is considered at the pattern level, not just applied after the fact. - Review and audit existing components and flows, recommending improvements grounded in usability and technical feasibility - Stay current on design system tooling, patterns, and practices, and bring relevant improvements back to the team - Support and mentor future design hires within the team - Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product teams, and stakeholders to evolve system needs based on product requirements. - A portfolio that demonstrates your systems thinking, your design process, and real outcomes from your work, with clear examples of component libraries, tokens, or pattern work - A highly developed eye for detail, consistency, and quality at the pixel level - Proven experience building and maintaining component libraries and design tokens at scale - Strong command of Figma, including variables, component management, and library structures - A talent for bringing clarity and process to workflows that are still being defined - Experience working directly with engineering teams on design system implementation and handoff. Familiarity with front end frameworks/design implementation principles is highly preferred - Transparent written communication skills, with the ability to document complex systems in plain language - Deep understanding of tokens, component libraries, pattern architecture, Framework structures, responsive, platform agnostic design. - Experience with marketing your design system to teams and ensuring adoption of design systems at scale - Background working within multi brand or multi platform product environments - A Collaborative and comfortable attitude who is eager to find clever solutions to complex problems - A Passion for consistency, usability, and design governance - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or front end framework concepts that inform how you approach component design - Experience with design to development tooling and token pipelines - Exposure to contribution models and governance frameworks for large scale design systems - Experience with prototyping tools or similar such as Storybook for component documentation and interaction specs - Familiarity with tools like Content Stack and their impact for Design System guardrails - Experience applying motion and animation at scale within a design system, including defining reusable interaction patterns and transition standards - Familiarity with enterprise scale product ecosystems - Experience integrating AI into design workflows or systems optimization - Experience Migrating or Reworking systems at scale Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ocrba
