Lifeguard and Swim Instructor Role, Canmore

The Town of Canmore seeks an energetic Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to fill a full-time position enhancing community safety and swim skills. This role offers valuable experience in aquatics.

In this role, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and ensuring participant safety during public swims. Enthusiasm for aquatics, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to service are essential. You'll interact with a diverse group of community members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:• Teach swimming basics and safety rules • Demonstrate swim techniques and exercise use • Assess swimmer ability and plan lessons accordingly • Ensure safety through personal skill instruction • Evaluate progress and assign appropriate grades

Requirements:• National Lifeguard Pool and First Aid&CPR“C” certified • Swim&Lifesaving Society Instructor certification• Experience in the aquatics industry preferred • Requirement for effective communication skills • Specialty certifications are a plus
