Maternity Leave Coverage Position with Opportunity for Long-Term Growth Carmella is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing team in Canmore, Alberta. This position is initially a maternity leave coverage role, with strong potential to grow into a longer-term career opportunity for the right person. We’re looking for someone creative, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where no two days look exactly the same. You should be confident managing multiple projects, working across different brands, and producing clean, thoughtful design that works in the real world, not just in a portfolio. Carmella is a strategy-first marketing and leadership consultancy based in the Canadian Rockies, working with businesses across hospitality, tourism, real estate, professional services, and more. Our team blends strategy, branding, content, marketing, leadership development, and creative execution to help businesses grow in a practical and measurable way. What You’ll Do - Create digital and print marketing materials - Design social media graphics, presentations, ads, brochures, signage, and branded collateral - Support website content updates and visual asset creation - Work closely with marketing, strategy, and content teams - Maintain brand consistency across multiple client accounts - Manage revisions, timelines, and project priorities in a quick-paced environment Requirements - Minimum 4 years of professional graphic design experience - Robust portfolio demonstrating branding, layout, typography, and production design - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop required) - Strong understanding of digital and print production - Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects independently - Strong communication and organizational skills - Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently Bonus Skills - WordPress backend knowledge and experience updating websites - Photography experience - Photo editing and retouching - Videography and video editing experience, especially short-form social content - Familiarity with social media marketing and content creation workflows About Carmella Carmella is a Canmore-based strategic marketing and leadership consultancy working with businesses across Canada.
