Thank you for your interest in joining our team as Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Dir. Engineering, provide leadership and direction to a team of approximately 7, including general maintenance, staff housing and groundskeeper staff. Respond to all maintenance concerns in a timely and effective manner. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems. Ensure comprehensive preventative maintenance program is effectively implemented and maintained. Respond to all changes in the daily demands of the Maintenance department as dictated by season and business level.Operate the department in an efficient and financially responsible manner. Develop and hold accountable preventative maintenance practices which ensure the longevity of all equipment, including the monitoring and tendering of all service contracts. Maintain the pools and whirlpools by ensuring a safe chemical balance through frequent testing.Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times. Champion the Health and Safety committee. Respond and address to any staff accommodation concerns in a timely manner. 24/7 first response for all Emergency situations including but not limited to fire, flood, electrical or mechanical failures within the building.Additional duties as assigned. All duties apply to multiple properties including all hotel properties and staff accommodation units. Ideal Candidate
A trade certificate would be considered an asset. Management experience in a similar hospitality setting. Pool Operators Certificate would be considered an asset. Building Operators Certificate would be considered an asset. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.Experience in preventative maintenance, energy management, fire safety, and health and safety. Alberta Driver’s License or International Equivalent. Clean 3‑year drivers abstract. Computer knowledge required. Employee Incentives
