Guest Service Agent (Canmore)

Position Overview

Full‑time Guest Service Agent at Northwinds by Basecamp in Canmore. Responsible for welcoming and assisting guests throughout their stay, ensuring a positive experience. Salary: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour Shifts: 8‑hour days, 4 days a week with one day supporting the Housekeeping team. Staff accommodation available from 11May.Key Responsibilities

Greet customers, listen, understand requests, and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions. Complete registration, check‑in, and check‑out procedures. Assist guests with payment transactions and ensure proper methods of payment are processed accurately. Answer the telephone promptly and professionally in fluent English.Use the company computers and reservation software to input and retrieve information. Remain calm and alert during emergencies or heavy hotel activity; resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues. File guest complaints and inquiries; conduct thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results.Assist the housekeeping team by fulfilling guest requests when required. Maintain a clean“guest‑ready” working environment and keep common areas tidy, including housekeeping duties as needed. Assist in customer service in connection with rental amenities. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.Qualifications and Skills

Effective communication with internal and external customers. Proficient speaking and writing in English; both verbal and written. Accurate input of information using Hotel Property Management Software. Versatility to work various shifts throughout the week. Mobility to climb stairs and lift up to 40lb.Minimum 1 year of customer‑service experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate. Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
