Your Opportunity The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills to provide secure and quality care to patients across the life span. The RN develops, implements, and administers individualized patient care plans and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to promote health and prevent disease. Responsibilities - Use nursing assessment and critical thinking to accurately evaluate patient status and identify priority problems. - Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care plans that reflect the patient’s values and goals. - Advocate for patients and families, teach, counsel, and empower to make informed health‑related decisions. - Participate in ongoing professional development, quality improvement activities, research, and education programs. - Follow nursing standards, protocols, and specialty‑related policies required for the RN role. - Provide safe and quality patient and family‑centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Required Qualifications - Completion of an accredited nursing education program. - Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). - Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP) certification. - Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Critical Triage Assessment (CTAS). - Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in emergency department (ER) and acute care, and minimum two (2) years of recent obstetrical (OB) experience. - Current fetal health surveillance certification. - Ability to work in maternity triage. - Completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: Preferred Qualifications - Certification in TNCC and ENPC. - Charge RN experience. - Certification in Obstetrical Triage & Acuity Scale (OTAS) and N95 fit testing. - Experience in a day surgery unit and post‑procedural sedation and anesthesia. Compensation Minimum salary $44.56 per hour. Maximum salary $60.98 per hour. Provisional permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour until obtaining a full practice permit.
