Parks Canada – Resource Conservation – Banff Field Unit Closing Date June 11, 2026 – 23:59 Pacific Time Location Banff, Alberta – Banff National Park Employment Tenure Term starting July 2026 – March 2027 Salary 96,535 to 104,361 per year (currently under review) Level PM-05 Able to Apply All persons with legal status to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or work permit) Responsibilities Lead and coordinate ecological restoration projects within Parks Canada, overseeing site restoration planning and implementation while managing contracts to ensure compliance, quality, and timely delivery. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and work closely with technical specialists to integrate scientific expertise, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives into project outcomes. Experience - Recent and significant experience in project management, including preparing public tenders, managing contractors/consultants, permitting, and reviewing specifications, drawings, or technical evaluations. - Recent and significant experience in managing reclamation/restoration and/or vegetation management projects. - Experience working with multiple stakeholders or partners to advance projects or initiatives. - Experience managing a program related to conservation. Knowledge - Project management standards - Major issues, management challenges/practices, and partnership opportunities related to disturbed site restoration, reclamation, invasive species management, and native vegetation collection/propagation. - Forestry practices and ecological restoration principles. Abilities - Ability to manage projects with short timelines and complex budgets. - Ability to manage human and financial resources. - Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional environment. - Ability to provide advice to management. - Ability to communicate effectively orally. - Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
