Head Chef – Food Truck & Catering Company (Seasonal with Winter Opportunity) We’re looking for a passionate, organized, and experienced Head Chef to lead our growing food truck and catering operation for the busy summer and fall season — with the prospect to transition into a winter leadership role at a private ski resort for the right candidate. This is an opportunity for a chef who enjoys building teams, creating systems, leading service, and delivering high-quality food in a rapid-paced and exciting environment. About Us We are a family-owned food truck and catering company focused on fresh, chef-driven food, private events, weddings, and corporate catering. Position Details - Seasonal Position: End of May through End of October - Full-time leadership role - Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings - Opportunity for continued winter employment at a private ski resort, as one of the owners of the food truck is also the Executive Chef at a local private ski hill, offering strong candidates the potential for year-round employment opportunities Responsibilities - Lead all kitchen operations for food truck and catering events - Oversee prep, execution, service standards, and food quality - Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and leadership - Maintain food cost awareness, inventory, and ordering systems - Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance - Assist with menu development and seasonal features - Coordinate catering logistics, event execution, and kitchen workflow - Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture What We’re Looking For - Previous Head Chef or Sous Chef experience - Strong leadership and communication skills - Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure - Passion for hospitality, food quality, and team development - Strong understanding of kitchen systems and operations - Reliable transportation is an asset - Catering, banquet, or food truck experience is a bonus What We Offer - Competitive salary or hourly compensation based on experience - Supportive, family-style work environment - Opportunity to help grow an exciting culinary business - Creative freedom and input on menus and operations - Strong potential for long-term growth opportunities If you’re a strong leader who loves great food, thrives in high-energy environments, and wants to be part of a close-knit team that values hard work and respect, we’d love to hear from you.
