Project Manager - Permanent Full-Time Reports to: Project Management Lead Non-Union position Hours of Work: 8‑hour shifts, Monday to Friday Rate of Pay: $53.90 - $64.02 per hour We need a Project Manager to join our Project Management team at CGMH, a leading acute care hospital. In this role you will lead cross‑functional projects from kickoff to launch, develop action plans, and work with clinical, operational, and IT teams to improve patient care and hospital operations. Responsibilities - Lead projects end‑to‑end through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, evaluation, and close‑out. - Work independently while collaborating closely with project sponsors, directors, department leaders, clinical teams, and external partners to ensure project success. - Lead project meetings, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and drive project outcomes through strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. - Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resource requirements. - Coordinate internal teams and third‑party vendors to ensure timely, efficient, and effective project execution. - Manage day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring initiatives remain on track, aligned with hospital priorities, and delivered within established timelines and budgets. - Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, milestones, and deliverables. - Identify project risks, barriers, and issues proactively, implement mitigation strategies, and raise concerns when appropriate. - Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation, including schedules, budgets, status reports, resource allocation, and deliverables in accordance with hospital policies and standards. - Monitor project performance to ensure compliance with hospital standards, regulatory requirements, quality expectations, and best practices. - Support project evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, and post‑project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement. - Contribute to a team-oriented, respectful, patient‑ and family‑centered environment focused on excellence, innovation, safety, and continuous learning. - Actively participate in the Hospital’s Health and Safety Internal Responsibility System in alignment with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures. Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in Business, Healthcare, Clinical Informatics, Engineering, Construction, or Project Management. - At least 5 years of on‑the‑job project management experience using proven tools and techniques. - Experience with procurement processes and practical application of Ontario’s Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive. - Working knowledge of risk management and mitigation in healthcare projects, including construction documentation and coordination between trades. - Demonstrated ability to plan and manage budgets for large capital projects. - Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Ability to delegate and assign work to resources. - Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. - Understanding of budgets and fiscal responsibility. - Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Independent decision‑making abilities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders at all levels. - Proven critical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail. - Proactive identification and resolution of conflicts within teams and associated workstreams; mitigation of risk with contingency plans. Preferred - Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. - Familiarity with hospital operations, clinical workflows, and healthcare regulations.
