Description
Company Overview At Port443, we work together, laugh together, and, yes, eat a lot of donuts together. Lunchtime often turns into a mini Mario Kart tournament. We’re pretty competitive. Our products, My Music Staff, TutorBird, and AthletaDesk, are always evolving, so there’s never a dull moment around here. Every day, we connect with thousands of users worldwide, and if you ask them what they love most about us, they’ll tell you it’s because we listen. We go above and beyond to understand their needs, and that’s why our members are at the heart of everything we do. Their ideas and feedback shape our products.
About You You’re the kind of person who notices the tiny things other people miss. You’re curious, thoughtful, and naturally good at asking “what happens if I try this?”
This is a great role for someone earlier in their software career who has a knack for testing and wants to keep learning. You don’t need years of formal QA experience. We’re looking for someone with the right instincts, attention to detail, and curiosity to help us catch issues before they make it into a release.
What You Bring
You’re naturally curious and like understanding how things work
You have strong attention to detail and care about getting things right
You enjoy finding patterns, edge cases, and unexpected behaviour
You’re patient enough to dig into a problem, but practical enough to know when to move forward
You can explain issues clearly so others can understand what happened
You’re comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t make sense
You like working with a team and helping improve the final product
You’re open to learning new tools and processes as we continue improving how we test
What Makes You a Great Fit
You have a“what happens if I try this?” kind of brain
You get satisfaction from catching small issues before users do
You’re not afraid of repetitive work, but you also like finding ways to make it better
You can follow an existing direction and help execute it well
You’re thoughtful, organized, and good at sticking with the details
You enjoy being part of the release process and helping the team feel confident in what we’re shipping
What You’ll Do
Test new and existing features across our products
Think through different user flows, edge cases, and“what if?” scenarios
Help create and follow test plans so releases are tested consistently
Find, investigate, and clearly document bugs
Work with developers, designers, and product-minded people to understand how things should work
Help maintain and improve automated tests over time
Support the team in catching issues earlier and shipping better software
Learn our products deeply so you can spot when something doesn’t feel quite right
Nice to Have
Experience with manual software testing
Experience with automated testing tools like Playwright, Selenium, or similar
Experience testing SaaS products or web applications
Comfort working with APIs, test cases, or bug tracking tools
Benefits
Free snacks and coffee– because we know the way to the heart
Fun company social events throughout the year– and yes, significant others are always welcome
Cool company swag when we hit milestones– check out our IG to see some of our past goodies
Comprehensive health benefits plan and health spending account– go ahead and book that massage. You’ve earned it
GRSP with company match– a little something for future you, too
