Auto Insurance Advisor
to join their growing team.
About The Client: The Co-operators is a well-established and highly respected Canadian insurance provider known for its client-first approach and strong community presence. The Opportunity: This is a client-facing role focused primarily on auto insurance, supporting clients with quotes, policy changes, renewals, and general service inquiries. Working within a busy and established office, you will be engaging with clients daily and helping ensure they receive timely, accurate, and professional support.
This role is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service, is comfortable speaking with people, and is interested in building a career within the insurance industry. Unlike traditional sales roles, there is no cold calling required, as clients are already coming to you.
Requirements The Ideal Candidate brings previous customer service, administrative, or sales experience and enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment. You are friendly, professional, and comfortable handling client questions with patience and care.
You are organized, willing to learn, and able to follow processes accurately. This role would be a great fit for someone who wants to build their confidence in insurance, grow within a stable organization, and be part of a supportive local team.
Responsibilities:
Support clients with auto insurance quotes, policy changes, renewals, and general inquiries
Provide professional and timely service to clients by phone, email, and in person
Review client information and help identify appropriate coverage options
Process updates and maintain accurate client records
Respond to client questions and resolve concerns in a professional manner
Support the growth and retention of an existing client base
Identify opportunities to connect clients with additional products or services when appropriate
Complete front-line risk assessments in line with underwriting guidelines
Contribute to individual and team goals
Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial and personal information
Qualifications:
Previous customer service, administrative, or sales experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a client-facing environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable learning new systems and following established processes
General Insurance License, or willingness to obtain within required timeline
Strong organizational and time management skills
Positive, team-oriented mindset
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Ability to successfully complete criminal and financial background checks
Base salary starting at approximately $45,000 annually
Bonus/commission earning potential
Comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental
In-office position based in Gander, Newfoundland
Candidates must be located in Canada and legally eligible to work on a permanent basis, as a sponsorship for this opportunity is unfortunately not an option.
