The General Labourer reports to the Mine Manager and plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment across office trailers and facilities at our Hammerdown Project site. The General Labourer engages in a variety of job tasks associated with the drilling, retrieving and processing of drill core. General Labourers perform and may be assigned to a variety of tasks and activities that require general labour skills including moving core, sample boxes, minor construction, site core movement, maintenance, housekeeping and other general labour activities as required. As a General Labourer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include: - Assist with general site maintenance, including clearing debris, snow removal, and upkeep of work areas. - Load, unload, and move materials and equipment as directed. - Operate basic hand tools and small machinery safely. - Support tradespeople and other team members with tasks as required. - Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company standards. - Perform other related duties as assigned. - Other related duties as required. What You Bring to the Field: - High School Diploma or equivalent; prior experience in labour or construction roles is an asset. - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Knowledge of basic hand tools and safe work practices. - Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. - Robust physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting. - Ability to positively interact with co-workers and team members. - Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to work in remote site conditions with access to a personal vehicle for daily use. - Able to work flexible hours as needed. 1 TSX-V: NFG | NYSE-A: NFGC Working Conditions: - Heavy and repetitive lifting up 50lbs. - Long periods of standing. - Use of small equipment. - Walking in uneven terrain. - Temperatures/outside conditions – sometimes work in extreme heat/cold, inclement weather.
