Shape the future of water management as a Professional Water Resources Engineer with Conservation Halton in Burlington, Ontario. This role offers a hybrid work model focused on technical excellence.
In this full-time position, the Water Resources Engineer will play a pivotal role in the technical review of various water resource projects, ensuring all work aligns with Conservation Halton's policies. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you'll provide comprehensive support in regulatory approvals and engage in community collaborations. Your expertise in hydrology, geomorphological processes, and stormwater management will guide your efforts in effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:• Conduct regulatory compliance reviews for water projects • Develop and maintain flood hazard maps • Offer expert guidance at tribunal hearings • Inspect sites pre, during, and post-construction • Lead the creation of best practice guidelines
Requirements:• Accredited degree in Water Resources or Civil Engineering • Valid Ontario P.Eng. license • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience • Strong foundation in environmental assessment regulations • Knowledgeable in riverine and coastal systems
