Position Master Mariners– Polar Certified Captains
Location Newfoundland&Labrador (travel required)
Your Role
Command CAC’s fleet during groundbreaking expeditions and research missions.
Oversee vessel operations, safety, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Collaborate on developing world‑class exploration hubs and charter routes.
Lead Arctic and Antarctic missions, including treasure recovery and marine research.
Manage crew, logistics, and high‑value cargo operations in extreme environments.
Qualifications
Transport Canada Master Mariner Certificate (500 GT, 1200 GT endorsement) with Polar Operations Certification.
15+ years managing research explorer ice‑classed expedition vessels, deep‑sea submersibles, and polar operations.
Proven leadership in safety, operations, and client relations in remote settings.
Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients and luxury charters.
Multilingual (English + French, Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic or other languages) preferred.
Working Conditions
Operate in extreme climates and diverse environments.
Extensive travel aboard ships, submersibles, helicopters, and floatplanes.
Thrive in challenging, dynamic conditions where adaptability is key.
