Recreation Project Estimator, Northwest Newfoundland/Eastern Labrador (Mary's Harbour)

Pay or shift range: $70,000 CAD to $80,000 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information

Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals

Conduct risk assessments and identify cost‑saving opportunities

Maintain a database of historical costs and vendor pricing

Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits as required

Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company policies

Collaborate with internal team and external stakeholders to price and communicate change requests

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in HVAC systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and building codes

Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
