Carpenter/Laborer, Southeastern Avalon Peninsula (Ferryland)

Responsibilities

Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, formwork, and finishing according to project specifications.

Assist with concrete work, including pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete surfaces.

Install insulated concrete foundations, ensuring accurate placement and alignment.

Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions to complete tasks accurately.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Collaborate with team members and contractors to meet project deadlines and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in carpentry or construction work, with a preference for at least 1 year of experience.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.

Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.

Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to job sites in Torbay, NL.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification or training in carpentry or a related field is advantageous.

Experience with concrete work and insulated concrete forms (ICFs).

Familiarity with construction safety regulations and practices.
