Responsibilities: Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, formwork, finishing, and installing fixtures. Assist with general labour duties including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting tradespeople.Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Collaborate with team members and contractors to meet project deadlines and objectives.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, challenges, and adjustments. Requirements: Previous experience in carpentry and/or general construction work is preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to job sites in Deer Lake, NL. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.Preferred Qualifications: Certification or formal training in carpentry or a related field is advantageous. Experience with residential or commercial construction projects. Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices. Competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.50 to $26.00, based on experience and qualifications.Opportunities for overtime hours and occasional weekend work as required by project schedules.
