Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support food preparation and service by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but a solid work ethic and willingness to learn are most important. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food handling and safety. Duties Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure cleanliness and availability for food preparation and service Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling as directed by the kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage spaces Support food safety protocols by following sanitation standards and proper food handling procedures Help with serving duties during busy hours as needed Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments to ensure smooth restaurant operations Assist in setting up dining areas before service and cleaning after closing shifts Requirements Prior experience in a restaurant or food service workplace is preferred but not required Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food preparation Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate loads (up to 50 pounds) Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the food industry to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen setting while supporting the overall success of our restaurant.
