Warehouse/Delivery Driver (Grand Falls-Windsor)

- Conducts a safety check on delivery truck and equipment, ensuring the truck is in good working condition and all equipment is in place and in good working order. - Diligently takes care of truck and equipment to eliminate damage and ensure they are properly secured. - Ensures all equipment is returned to the warehouse at the end of each shift. - Loads and unloads freight in a safe and timely manner. - Transports product to and from specified destinations ensuring no damages occur during transportation by ensuring product is padded and secured appropriately. - Sets up and arranges furniture for customers and removes all packaging from customers’ home. - Takes all necessary precautions to ensure no damage occurs to customer property. - Thoroughly inspects all furniture before loading to ensure there is no damage. If there is damage then the Service Technician must do all necessary repairs before delivery. Advises Customer Service if any furniture is unable to be delivered due to damage or other reasons. - Manages deliveries in order to ensure efficiencies and timeliness. - Ensures all paperwork is completed and submits it to the Warehouse Manager or designated employee. This would include delivery receipts, damage reports, mileage log as well as gas receipts with kilometers noted for each fill up. - Diligently reduces the potential of damaging product by practicing effective transportation techniques, such as the two person system of handling furniture. - Performs damage inspections for all incoming and outgoing freight. - Assembles and moves product to showroom for replenishment of new stock. - Organizes and prepares all sold product, including rewrapping and padding, for protection from damage and preparation for transportation. - Ensures all walkways and exits are free of debris and snow and salted regularly. - Disposes of garbage and separates cardboard into proper dumpster for recycling. - Operates the forklift in the warehouse.. - Assists the flooring department with flooring cuts. - Conducts cycle counts and carries out all procedures in preparation for inventory. - Accurately completes in a timely fashion all related paperwork for all incoming and outgoing products.
