About the Role

We are looking for a SMOOTH OPERATOR experienced in operating Excavators (up to 30 ton), Skid Steers, Dozers, Packers, and Rubber Tire Backhoe/Front End Loader. The ideal candidate must be able to operate all above machines flawlessly, hold necessary certifications, be flexible to commute across the GTA and surrounding areas, and have a minimum of 3 years experience on active construction projects.Responsibilities

Operate 30 ton excavators to excavate materials, dig trenches, foundations, and other earth‑moving tasks as directed. Transport materials, including dirt, sand, and debris, to designated locations. Understand, follow and maintain all safety protocols (provincial, municipal, company, and client‑required).Work with all members of the construction team to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications. Conduct documented inspections on all machinery and equipment prior to use. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as required. Maintain communication with members of the construction team and other equipment operators.Assist with loading and unloading materials as required. Assist with labour duties such as laying pipe, hand digging around utilities, spotting for other operators, traffic control, etc. Keep records of operation hours and machinery performance. Required Competencies and Attributes

A minimum of 3 years experience operating the above machinery in an active construction environment. Ability to work around utilities diligently. Valid operator’s license or certification and applicable safety training and certificates. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and locates.Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, including digging, trenching, and grading. Capability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on excavators and construction machinery.Physical stamina to operate machinery for extended periods and to handle heavy workloads. Ability to pass client required security screenings and background checks.Valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to various construction sites. Preferred Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with GPS and other technology used in excavation. Positive communication skills, written and oral, in English. Work Environment

Work is performed on construction sites, which may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and may require lifting and physically demanding tasks. Work Location
