Enhance operations at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre as a Power Engineer. This temp position involves maintaining and operating high pressure steam equipment and systems.

The job will see you work in the Central Zone at the hospital's plant operation. As a Power Engineer, you’ll manage high pressure steam boilers, heating pumps, and other related mechanical equipment. You must also be prepared for shifts as needed while performing various maintenance duties and promoting safety practices within the team.

Key Responsibilities:• Operate and maintain high pressure steam equipment • Manage emergency power generation and fire panel operations • Perform regular maintenance on mechanical systems • Inspect and respond to safety hazards in work areas • Promote person-and family-centered care within the facility

Requirements:• Valid Fourth-Class Power Engineer’s Certificate • 3-5 years experience in power plant operations • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for equipment • Effective communication and teamwork abilities • Strong commitment to safety and core healthcare values
