Process Operator (Full Time)– Long Harbour, NL
Key Accountabilities
Implementation of operational discipline, principles, procedures and practices to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant processes and equipment. Operation, monitoring and inspection of process equipment and conditions. Interfacing with electronic, pneumatic and PLC-based control systems during start‑up, analysis and continual operation of plant processes and equipment.Use troubleshooting skills to recognize and resolve process‑related deviations and problems. Perform necessary repairs and assistance during plant turnarounds, equipment upgrades, refurbishments and preventative maintenance. Use process knowledge and skills toward productivity improvements and equipment reliability.Operate and inspect equipment such as pumps, motors and compressors. Professional communication between contractors, visitors, customers, colleagues and management. Required Qualifications
4th class Power engineering and relevant experience. 3‑5 years of previous experience in a 24/7/365 process operations role. Motivated, self‑starter capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to read and interpret various drawings such as P&IDs and SWDs. Good computer and technical skills to learn operation of both manual and highly automated process equipment. Ability to recognize, understand, analyze and resolve technical problems. Ability to work overtime as required. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to follow safe work practices and work in accordance with company and provincial regulations. Current and valid driver’s license. Physical ability to lift up to 25kg, climb stairs and ladders, work in tight and closed spaces, and wear all required personal protective equipment. Equal Employment Opportunity
