Senior Accountant - burlington, Northwest Newfoundland/Eastern Labrador (Mary's Harbour)

We're partnering with a US listed, global cleantech business to hire a Senior Accountant. This role requires deep expertise in multi‑site intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets, and the ability to drive month‑end and quarter‑end close under tight timelines. You will own complex intercompany processes, oversee reconciliations across several business units, resolve discrepancies, and strengthen controls in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.What You’ll Do

Intercompany reconciliations– manage multi‑site, multi‑currency balances, investigate variances, and drive month‑end accuracy. Fixed asset management – maintain the fixed asset register, review capital expenditure, and ensure correct treatment under UK GAAP/IFRS. Month‑end close – journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet integrity across multiple entities.Support financial statement preparation and external audit requests. Grow into equity accounting– stock‑based compensation entries, tracking, and cross‑functional coordination. Maintain accurate records aligned with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls. Process improvement – enhance controls, streamline reconciliations, and support system optimisation.What You Bring

3–5 years of general ledger accounting experience, ideally corporate + Big 10 audit background. Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles. Solid month‑end close and intercompany reconciliation experience. Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, reconciliation techniques). ERPexperience – NetSuite preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/CA track is a plus. High attention to detail, ownership, and accountability. Ability to work independently while collaborating across the finance team. Comfortable operating in a SOX‑controlled, public‑company environment. Curious, proactive, and excited to take on more responsibility over time.
