Sample Preparation Shift Supervisor Role (Gander)

Join ALS as a Sample Preparation Shift Supervisor, ensuring productivity and quality in shift operations. Lead a team, manage workloads, and uphold safety standards while meeting turnaround targets. In this critical supervisory role, you will oversee the sample preparation staff during shifts. You'll be responsible for coordinating daily workloads, maintaining production levels, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols. The successful candidate will also resolve internal and external issues and conduct monthly discussions focused on safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise sample preparation staff on assigned shifts - Coordinate and prioritize daily workloads for efficiency - Maintain adherence to SOPs and safety standards - Identify issues with client sample instructions and resolve them - Update and generate prep QC data charts Requirements: - Minimum three years in a commercial minerals laboratory - Degree or diploma in mineralogy, geology, or chemistry preferred - Experience with LIMS and laboratory computer systems - Forklift license or operating experience is an asset - Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in high-pressure environments Bring your management skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality to ensure the success of ALS's sample preparation operations.
