0.25 Instructional Resource Teacher (Ferryland)

0.25 TERM position for Instructional Resource Teacher (IRT) at Holy Trinity Elementary, Torbay Duties will commence September 2, 2025 and continue through June 26, 2026. The instructional resource teacher will work with students who have a wide range of learning profiles requiring individualized programming in enrichment, academic skills, social‑emotional/behavioural skills, accessibility skills, or adaptive skills. The IRT is expected to engage professionally with colleagues, families, and communities; demonstrate effective and responsive teaching and learning practices; create a safe and positive learning environment; show a love of learning and the ability to build learner and leadership capacity; and understand the impact of effective assessment practices. Work is guided by the Standards of Practice for Instructional Resource Teachers, which include foundations of special education; development and characteristics of learners; educational assessment; planning and delivering instruction; learning environment; collaborative partnerships; and reflective practice.
